Overview
Progression Inc. is seeking an Atlassian Developer based in Alexandria, VA. This role requires active Top Secret / SCI clearance and experience with Atlassian products and related development, integration, and administration tasks. Responsibilities
Configure and administer user directories with LDAP for authentication and authorization within JIRA and Confluence. Design, code, and maintain custom workflows using ScriptRunner, REST API integrations, and native Atlassian features. Develop and integrate solutions using Java, JavaScript, HTML, and Python. Administer, support, and extend JIRA and Confluence, including advanced workflow design (2+ years experience required). Integrate Atlassian tools with CI / CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab. Read, analyze, and reverse engineer existing coded workflows to determine functionality and recommend improvements. Gather, analyze, and document user requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide user support, training, and troubleshooting for JIRA and Confluence. Create and maintain technical documentation for workflows, integrations, and administrative procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and tool usage. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and functionality independently. Qualifications
Active Top Secret / SCI clearance. 3–4 years of Atlassian experience. 3+ years ScriptRunner for JIRA / Confluence, including writing Groovy scripts and custom workflow functions. 3+ years of Java, JavaScript, and HTML; proficiency in Python development. Experience integrating Atlassian products with LDAP for user management. Hands-on experience with REST API development and integrations. Experience with CI / CD processes and pipelines, specifically with GitLab. Ability to leverage technical skills in administration, coding, and workflow design within JIRA and Confluence. Ability to read, interpret, and reverse engineer existing workflows and scripts. Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-120, ACP-100) is a plus. Experience with additional Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Bamboo) is a plus. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.
