Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in Baytown, TX. Pay, Schedule, and Location Starting at $18/hour Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm to 11 pm Located in Baytown, TX Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks, verifying shipments against shipping documents and purchase orders Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments Greet and assist drivers during pickup and delivery operations Provide guidance and support to drivers regarding warehouse procedures, paperwork completion, and safety protocols Prepare shipping documents, labels, and other necessary paperwork for outbound shipments Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is accurate, complete, and filed appropriately Maintain inventory records and perform periodic inventory counts as directed Assist in reconciling discrepancies between physical inventory and system records Communicate effectively with warehouse team members, drivers, and supervisors to coordinate shipping and receiving activities Report any issues, damages, or discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager or Logistics Supervisor promptly Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations Requirements and Qualifications
Proven experience as a shipping and receiving clerk or in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment. Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, including documentation and inventory management. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills and proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. Physical Requirements [& Travel - Include travel frequency if applicable] Ability to work in cold storage environments as low as -10°F Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
