Member Relationship Officer . We’re looking for a customer‑focused individual who will ensure members’ needs are achieved by conducting thorough financial assessments and recommending the most appropriate products and services to help members achieve their immediate and future financial goals.

As a Member Relationship Officer you will generate leads, build and maintain member relationships, and provide a great member experience.

Proven success in prospecting, building a pipeline, and closing sales opportunities.

Ability to identify, recommend and sell GTE Financial products and services to create fully engaged financial relationships.

Originating new members through various sources to ensure continued growth for the credit union.

Collaboration within a teamwork environment to develop a retention strategy for new and existing members.

Generating referrals for credit union services: Investment, Insurance, Business Services, Mortgages.

Experience

Effective negotiation and sales skills.

Proven success in prospecting, building a pipeline, and closing sales opportunities.

Professional demeanor and ability to build a proactive team environment.

Operational Responsibilities

Salesfloor management: greet members, direct them appropriately, and ensure needs are met.

Gather information, analyze facts, and educate members on appropriate products/services for one‑point resolution.

Demonstrate sound judgment on loan applications, reviewing and underwriting clearly and thoroughly.

Adhere to audit/compliance procedures while maintaining high service standards.

Identify risks for credit union losses through observation of potentially fraudulent activity.

Collaborate with Community Development Officers to strengthen community relationships.

Conduct member financial transactions, including origination, processing, and closing of any consumer loan products.

For mortgages: identify right products, initiate the process, gather processor and underwriter information, follow up with partners, and ensure a good member experience.

Observe credit union guidelines, policies, and procedures for compliance and security standards.

Ensure completion of regulatory compliance and training for sales and service responsibilities.

Show commitment to continuous education for personal growth and better member service.

Participate in meetings, conference calls, and events as assigned.

Demonstrate functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and related federal laws.

Qualify for NMLS registration in accordance with the Safe Act.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Some college preferred.

1–2 years of previous experience in the financial industry or related field, or a combination of education and experience.

Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Location:

Community Financial Center

Hours:

Monday – Friday (9:00 am to 6:00 pm)

Full‑time hours are required, with additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.

Salary: $50.00–$60.00 per hour
