Basic Job Functions
Manages inventory financial records, ensuring accurate valuation, proper control, reconciliations, and compliance with company policies
Lead sales and income tax compliance and assist with payroll tax as needed
Assist with driving organizational efficiencies in a complex, multi-location environment
Assist with risk management duties relating to contracts, insurance, credit, and vendormanagement
Driving continuous cost improvements across all aspects of the business
Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
Help lead closing procedures for monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements
Performs other duties as assigned and needed by the Accounting Department
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365
Leadership experience
CPA, CMA, or MAcc
Prior experience with Sales Tax reporting and regulations
Prior experience with Inventory
