McCormick & Company is a global leader in herbs, spices, seasonings, and condiments. We are looking to hire a Senior Creative Manager to join our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland, in a hybrid (50/50) capacity.
Position Summary The Senior Creative Manager (US) is responsible for overseeing the in‑house production of high‑quality creative assets for McCormick’s portfolio of brands across the U.S. region. The role blends creative innovation, project oversight, concepting expertise, and clear communication to deliver impactful content for brand and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead ideation and concepting of big ideas, driving storytelling that delivers business impact.
Manage the creative process – from ideation through production and delivery – ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and brand standards.
Oversee creative budgets and resource allocation.
Lead, mentor, and develop creative teams, fostering growth of emerging talent.
Collaborate with marketing, brand, and digital experience teams to align creative efforts with organizational goals.
Present creative concepts, project updates, and performance results to internal leadership.
Continuously optimize creative workflows, drive innovation, and monitor trends and innovation opportunities.
Maintain quality control and brand governance across all creative outputs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in art, design, visual communication, marketing, or related field.
8+ years of creative direction experience.
5+ years leading teams of creative specialists.
3+ years of demonstrable creative ideation and execution in the consumer packaged goods industry.
Experience formulating recommendations based on consumer research.
Strong communication, relationship‑building, and strategic leadership skills.
People‑management experience and a track record of continuous improvement.
Proficiency in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and familiarity with CPG/food brand work preferred.
Action‑oriented, decisive, and strategic agile mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $121,900 – $219,410 (commensurate with experience).
Eligible for McCormick’s Incentive Bonus Plan.
