Base Pay Range $65,000 – $88,600 per year

Job Overview The Senior Community Management Professional will be responsible for directing community engagement practices, facilitating and planning Member and Community Advisory Panels, collaborating with contracted medical and ancillary service providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Social Service Agencies, and care managers. They will link our membership to services and supports critical to improving health outcomes.

Responsibilities

Represent members’ interests including input in policy development, planning, and decision‑making.

Engage in community boards and committees such as the Community Health Worker Network.

Work directly with the Equitable Population Health Leadership team to drive outcomes aligned with larger organizational goals and build a robust member outreach program.

Compare member demographic and social support data to identify opportunities to address and fill service gaps with strategic community partners and service providers.

Cultivate need‑based partnerships with social support and service providers, supporting evidence‑based programs with positive health outcomes.

Positively position Humana among local/community groups and coalitions, community health leaders, and public health service providers.

Required Qualifications

Must reside in Michigan or within 40 miles of the Indiana or Ohio border and be able to support members in southeast Michigan.

Bachelor’s degree.

Two or more years of previous experience in healthcare or health plan marketing, community engagement, or member/patient outreach.

Skilled in planning, project management, community engagement and development, and resource mobilization.

Understands the fundamentals of effective community engagement specific to Medicaid members, including those with behavioral health needs and varied health literacy.

Proven knowledge and understanding of how to remove barriers to care in the Medicaid population.

Exhibits strong facilitation, conflict management, and consensus building skills.

Ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Patient‑facing role; will be required to be screened for TB.

Must have a valid state driver’s license and maintain vehicle insurance meeting the required limits.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in community health, public health, or a related field.

Bilingual or multilingual in Spanish, Arabic, Chaldean Neo‑Aramaic, or another language; fluent in both English and the specified language.

Additional Information

Workstyle: Remote position with travel.

Typical Workdays and Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Travel: Up to 50% travel across Michigan to meet face‑to‑face with members, community partners, and care teams; occasional travel to Humana’s Detroit office.

Language Assessment: Required for applicants who speak a language other than English; must take the ILR test.

Wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection recommended; satellite, cellular, and microwave only with approval.

Employees in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota receive a bi‑weekly internet expense payment.

Work from a dedicated space free from interruptions to protect HIPAA information.

Interview Format The hiring process includes a video interview using HireVue technology to assess relevant skills and experience.
