We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Insurance Coordinator to join our specialty dental practice. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring a smooth experience for our patients by accurately verifying insurance benefits, calculating estimates, and helping patients understand their financial responsibilities before treatment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Verify medical and dental insurance coverage and eligibility in advance of appointments. Calculate patient estimates, including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and surgery deposits. Obtain pre-authorizations and resolve any coverage discrepancies to reduce claim denials. Communicate clearly with patients about their insurance benefits and financial responsibilities. Submit claims, post payments, and ensure accurate documentation in the practice management system. Maintain organized and up-to-date patient insurance records. Collaborate with billing, coding, and clinical teams to support a seamless patient experience. Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and practice compliance guidelines at all times. Requirements
Oral surgery insurance experience, particularly in coordinating both dental and medical coverage required. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with practice management software, EHR systems, and online eligibility portals Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
