This is a permanent PART‑TIME role. The position estimates anywhere from 7–9 hours per week, for all stores, depending on store size and project requirements.
ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store).
Being a Retail Scan Associate offers an opportunity in retail, providing workplace independence, some flexibility in hours, and job consistency. There will be continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

What a Retail Scan Associate does Retail Scan Associates perform in‑store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores. Retail Scan Associates use a mobile app to scan barcodes throughout each store and may provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned weekly. They complete display scanning and may handle custom projects that add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work on some weeks. Adhering to weekly deadlines and delivering accurate data are essential.
Qualifications
At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage
Ability to stand on your feet for long periods, accessing products throughout the store
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand
Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods
Attention to detail and independent work capability
Deadline-driven self-starter
Reliable Wi‑Fi access
Tech savvy
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
