Job Title : Product Manager – Customer Experience (Enrollments & Entitlements)

Job Description Summary

Responsible for executing the strategy of the product umbrella, collaborating with the Lead Product Manager, Head of Product Management, and Product Executive. Perform Product Management lifecycle activities with the Senior Product Manager, defining target client segments, evaluating market trends, uncovering opportunities, launching products, and conducting post‑launch assessments. Maintain product materials, inventory, and key metrics; support new product introductions through risk analysis; provide sales support through client pitches and RFP responses.

Major Duties

Support discovery and innovation by creating client personas and evaluating competitors

Assist in new product planning activities by deriving forecasts, composing product requirements, and establishing future metrics

Display a balanced, cross‑functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity

Support new product introduction by creating the risk analysis

Track customer satisfaction, evaluate metrics and KPIs, gauge channel performance, conduct post‑product launch audits

Provide sales support through RFP response and review

Monitor capital and expenses and rate card alignment across regions

Act as subject‑area expert, providing comprehensive, in‑depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level

Balance high‑level operational execution and development with strategic direction of business function activities

Knowledge

Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience in constructing logical and conclusive presentations

Solid understanding of 2‑4+ Northern Trust products or business areas within an umbrella, mastery of 1‑2+ and knowledge of client needs and how this impacts the product development agenda/roadmap

Good at building key relationships, influencing and negotiating with clients, partners, and leaders across multiple disciplines

Organizational skills to support the Business Unit’s goals, resources, and staff development

Program or project management experience is advantageous; planning, analysis, design, and governance

Knowledge of business strategy development to provide long‑term planning and manage profitability/performance of a major business segment

Experience

A college or university degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required

Salary Range

$88,900 – $151,100 USD

Salary range is a good‑faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well‑being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
