We are seeking an experienced and driven
Vice President of Asset Management
to oversee a portfolio of high-end multifamily properties across New York City. This role will be central to shaping and executing portfolio strategy, optimizing asset performance, and ensuring long-term value creation for investors.
Position Overview The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, strong financial acumen, and hands‑on leadership. You will serve as the key link between property operations, development, finance, and senior executives—translating data and insights into results.
Primary Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the financial and operational performance of a diverse portfolio of luxury residential assets.
Formulate and implement asset‑level strategies to maximize cash flow, appreciation, and overall return on investment.
Monitor property performance against budgets, underwriting, and market benchmarks; provide actionable insights to improve results.
Lead annual business planning, budgeting, and reforecasting processes.
Evaluate capital projects, redevelopment opportunities, and repositioning initiatives.
Support investment decisions including refinancing, hold/sell analysis, and capital allocation.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance property operations and drive efficiency.
Prepare and deliver regular reporting packages and presentations to senior leadership and investors.
Build and manage a high‑performing asset management team, setting clear objectives and fostering professional growth.
Stay informed on local market dynamics, economic drivers, and policy developments impacting multifamily real estate in NYC.
Candidate Profile
Experience:
8–12 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in asset management for institutional‑quality multifamily or mixed‑use assets.
Expertise:
Strong grasp of New York City’s residential real estate market, capital planning, and financial performance metrics.
Leadership:
Proven ability to manage, mentor, and scale a small team.
Mindset:
Analytical, entrepreneurial, and results‑oriented; thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, or a related field required; MBA or relevant certification preferred.
