Responsibilities
Agile Program Leadership: Drive end-to-end planning and execution of Agile development projects, facilitating sprint ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives).
Story Pointing & Backlog Management: Partner with product owners and engineering leads to create, estimate (story pointing), and prioritize backlog items.
Scrum & Sprint Management: Act as Scrum Master when needed—ensuring smooth sprint execution, tracking velocity, and removing impediments.
Release Engineering Coordination: Oversee release schedules, CI/CD pipeline enhancements, and deployment strategies.
Codebase Modernization: Manage code cleanup efforts, enforce coding standards, and coordinate refactoring initiatives.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, timely updates to executives, engineering teams, and cross‑functional partners.
Risk & Dependency Management: Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and resource constraints across multiple teams and time zones.
Metrics & Reporting: Define KPIs, track progress, and present status reports to leadership.
Qualifications
Experience: 6–10 years in program or project management within software engineering or similar environments.
Agile Expertise: Hands‑on experience running Agile development projects, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, story pointing, and velocity tracking.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with software development lifecycles, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices; understanding of code repositories (Git/GitHub/GitLab), branching strategies, and migration tools.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple Scrum teams and facilitate cross‑team dependencies.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Background as a software engineer or release engineer.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps toolchains.
Scrum Master or Agile certification (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP) a plus.
