Job Description:
As a QA Tester, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, scripts, and automation frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of application software. This role involves both manual and automated testing, with a focus on API validation, accessibility, and cloud-native applications. You will collaborate closely with developers and platform engineers to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional and non-functional testing
• Perform testing and debugging of new and existing application software
• Design, execute, and automate API testing using XUnit and manual testing using Postman
• Collaborate with developers and platform engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Identify, report, and track defects; prioritize issues and ensure timely resolution
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in QA and test automation
• Develop and evolve test plans for complex applications
• Deconstruct solutions into tests that optimize for coverage and risk
• Create reliable and relevant test automation
• Extend test automation frameworks to support new functionality
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
• Knowledge of .NET unit testing frameworks
• Experience with end-to-end functional UI automation using tools like Playwright
• Familiarity with React framework and unit testing using React Testing Library and Jest
• Experience with accessibility testing tools such as Andi and Axe Dev Tools
• Proficiency in testing C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• Experience with API testing and automation using .NET and C#
• Knowledge of testing cloud-native applications on AWS
• Experience with database systems like Postgres
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Understanding of AWS services including AWS Lambda
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $55.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
