Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist Location: Full-time, Part-time, Remote, Hybrid, or On-site Overview We are seeking experienced Cybersecurity Specialists to safeguard critical systems, networks, and data assets. The ideal candidates will bring expertise in proactive threat management, vulnerability assessments, and compliance with key security standards and frameworks. Key Responsibilities Monitor network and system security, responding promptly to security incidents and breaches. Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential threats. Implement and manage cybersecurity tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, FERPA, HIPAA). Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and awareness programs. Collaborate with IT and management teams to maintain a secure and compliant infrastructure. Provide recommendations for continuous security improvement and risk reduction. Requirements Proven experience in cybersecurity operations, risk management, or information security. Proficiency in security tools and frameworks such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management platforms. Strong understanding of compliance standards and best practices (NIST, FERPA, HIPAA). Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISM) are highly preferred. Ability to provide security guidance across multiple IT domains simultaneously.
