*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
* HRSA loan repayment; employed position
*Responsibilities*
* Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients.
* Conduct various dental procedures including but not limited to dental extractions, root canal therapy, and endodontics, fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures.
* Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
* Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Open Dental.
* Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
* Educate patients on oral health care, treatment options, and preventative measures.
* Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide optimal patient care.
* Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
* Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
* Experience with infection control practices in a dental office setting is preferred.
* Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open Dental is a plus.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
