Receptionist
Join Atria Management Company as a Receptionist. This role handles front desk duties, visitor reception, telephone and mail services, and general administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephone calls cheerfully and route them appropriately.
- Retrieve voicemails and forward messages to the correct personnel.
- Deliver or transfer calls to voicemail when needed.
- Respond to general questions about the community, providing address and directions.
- Welcome on‑site visitors, determine purpose of visit, and announce them to the appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate guest room reservations.
- Maintain current list of residents who are hospitalized.
- Update appointment calendars including transportation and beauty calendars as directed.
- Receive, sort, and route mail and publications.
- Distribute written communication, accept deliveries, and sign for mail and prescriptions.
- Maintain and assist with fax machines, send faxes, and route incoming faxes.
- Create and print fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
- Order, receive, and maintain office supplies.
- Collect rent checks from residents and provide bookkeeping information for billing.
- Collect money for store purchases and meal tickets.
- May drive the company vehicle to community or social destinations (if required).
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification where required.
- Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of 2‑digit numbers).
- Common sense problem‑solving for routine tasks.
- Proficiency in operating telephone, emergency call system, photocopier, and beeper.
- Ability to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
