What to Expect

Self-Driving Hardware team is looking for an experienced Product Engineer who will be responsible for all phases of product development from pre‑silicon to volume manufacturing of SOCs used in automotive and HPC applications. We are open to hiring in Austin, TX; Palo Alto, CA.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop detailed test plans, conduct testability and manufacturability reviews, and lead design validation.
  • Execute structural (ATPG/BIST), functional, HSIO, MSIP and parametric tests during NPI.
  • Characterize processors, hard IPs and I/Os to optimize power, performance, thermal, and operating specifications.
  • Use cross‑platform correlation to drive test points, adopt improvements and ensure reliability through burn‑in, ATE, shift analysis, and failure resolution.
  • Maintain stability and repeatability of probe and package production test software and hardware.
  • Lead quality improvement through system/field failure root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Improve yield by collaborating with foundry and OSAT partners to validate process changes.
  • Perform statistical analysis, identify yield detractors, and develop outlier routines toward zero DPPM.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (equivalent experience acceptable).
  • 5–10 years of related experience, including 3+ years on an Advantest 93K or similar ATE platform.
  • Proven experience in New Product Introduction into manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of silicon process, DFT/DFM.
  • Experience with test data analysis and automation (JMP, C/C++, Perl/Python) on Windows/Linux.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with strong problem‑solving and creative abilities.
  • Knowledge of ATE tester hardware architecture, test software, and hardware.
  • Experience with system‑level testing (desired).

Expected Compensation

$120,000 – $228,000 annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
