Overview

Roadside Technician CommercialTires - Indianapolis, IN at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Role involves emergency response tire service for semi-truck fleets, dispatched to customer locations to repair or change tires. When no service calls, assist with mounting orders, shop cleanliness, and general duties.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tire-related failures as part of an emergency roadside service team.
• Repair or change tires at customer locations; mount orders; maintain shop organization.

Shift Information / Pay

Starting pay range: $21 hourly. Location: 1950 W Edgewood Ave Indianapolis, IN. On-call rotation with after-hours service calls; time worked after hours paid at double-time with a minimum of 2 hours per call. Example: 45-minute call yields 1 hour 15 minutes of double-time.

Basic Requirements

• Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous Commercial Service Tire experience

About the Role: What skills will you learn?

• Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing tires
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary
• Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including proper PPE usage, tire cages, and safety policies
