The Richmond Campus of Bryant & Stratton College is accepting applications for a full-time Business Office Assistant.
The Business Office Assistant’s role is to support the Business Office in maintaining the business transactions of the College including revenue and expense monitoring. The Business Office Assistant will assist in ensuring the integrity of the College’s accounts receivable while minimizing bad debt.
Essential Position Responsibilities and Functions
- Review the Accounts Receivable report weekly and follow up with student cash payers to ensure timely payment throughout the semester.
- Be the primary point of Business Office student outreach and communications.
- Handle incoming Business Office student calls regarding their payment plan and status throughout the day on the campus Five9 system.
- Be the campus Touchnet administrator “expert” for managing the system for student payment plans and ensuring billing accuracy and effective student utilization.
- Assist with processing Purchase Order (PO) requisitions, receiving, and closing PO’s.
- Ensure high customer service standards are maintained when dealing with students and associates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or 2-3 years prior experience in Accounts Receivable management.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and computer skills (MS Excel, Word).
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to interact and work professionally with faculty, staff, and students.
- Must be able to work independently and possess a drive for excellence.
- A background check is required.
