Role Description

The Inventory Control and Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for the movement of inventory throughout our supply chain and manufacturing process across all our facilities. This position will work cross-functionally with all departments to report, analyze, and suggest procurement needs to align with sales forecasts. This role will be a hands-on role within the accounting team that will also own some of the Accounts Receivable functions

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan and oversee regular inventory counts that are performed monthly and quarterly. This will include preparation of count sheets, reconciliation, investigation of discrepancies, and adjustments within our ERP system

Coordinate with Sales and Account Management teams to maintain and improve Sales Forecasts across all five brands

Lead the charge in procurement of raw materials based on Sales Forecasts and current inventory levels

Leverage data analytics to identify trends, pinpoint opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous optimization across the company

Analyze demand plans against inventory levels, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items, and proposing corrective measures

Prepare and maintain inventory KPIs, reports, and variance analysis for leadership review

Create, maintain, and leverage relationships with vendors/suppliers to ensure timely delivery of product, and the best pricing

Provide support to the accounting department’s Accounts Receivable functions including posting of customer payments, invoicing our retail customers, and management of EDI document functions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree , or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

4+ years of relevant inventory control, procurement, demand planning, or operations experience

Experience with SQF, HACCP, USDA Organics, and Fair-Trade USA certifications

Be a self-starter who can manage a project from start to finish autonomously, as well as working within a team project

Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

Highly organized and detail oriented

Ability to work cross-functionally with all departments and management to drive supply chain and inventory strategies

Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, NetSuite experience highly desired

Willingness to roll your sleeves up and be hands on
