About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as a key leader in the organization, with a primary focus on the provision of quality and cost-effective care. The CMO will be responsible for creating and maintaining superior relationships with physicians, securing their input into major decisions, and leading the implementation of strategic and operating plans, particularly in the areas of service line development and physician relationships. This role requires a graduate from an accredited medical school, completion of an accredited residency program, and board certification in a medical specialty. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred. The CMO will also be expected to have a minimum of 15 years of clinical practice, 5 years of executive leadership, and a proven track record in leading and implementing quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, and will be expected to demonstrate the core values of the organization, including a commitment to the mission of providing compassionate and transforming healing presence within the community. The CMO will work closely with the medical staff and hospital leadership to set and achieve goals for the delivery of patient care, and will be a resource for problem-solving and physician input. The role is pivotal in maintaining the standards of performance and policy of the organization, and the CMO will be expected to make independent, professional, and regulatory-compliant decisions that impact patient care and the operation of the healthcare system.
