PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults
• Patient Volume/Census: Full-time coverage required
• Admissions: Yes (as part of outpatient heme/onc care)
• Rounding: Included
• Phone Consults: As needed
• Case Mix: Solid tumor oncology and hematology
FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Hospital: 590
• EMR System: Epic
• Specialty Backup Available: Full-time APP support
• Support Staff Available: Full-time advanced practice provider and clinical team
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage (vacancy)
• Orientation: 4 hours, non-billable
• Observed Holidays: Facility recognized holidays
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Credentialing Timeline: 90 days with active license, 120 days if new license required
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Orientation: 4 hours non-billable
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Standard hematology and oncology procedures including evaluation and management of solid tumor cases
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Minnesota license or IMLC accepted (willing to license)
• Board: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (required)
• DEA: Active DEA (required)
• Certifications: BLS (required)
• Experience: Prior outpatient hematology/oncology experience preferred
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency in Epic EMR; ability to function in float pool coverage model
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to outpatient population
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Collaborate closely with APPs and multidisciplinary team
• Participate in treatment planning and follow-up care coordination
• Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR
