Overview We're seeking a Data & Operations Analyst to join our Finance, Analytics, and Accounting team. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, Analytics, and Accounting, you'll bridge technical data operations and business intelligence. This position is perfect for a problem-solver who enjoys working with data, troubleshooting issues, and delivering insights that drive operational decisions.
You'll work with multiple data sources—SQL databases, Dataverse, our PACS system, and more—to create meaningful reports, maintain data quality, and serve as the first line of defense when data issues arise. This dynamic role offers variety where no two days are exactly alike.
Your Team : You'll be part of a small, unconventional, but highly productive 4-person team including the VP, Senior Accountant, In-House Developer/Solution Architect, and Staff Accountant. This structure provides direct access to leadership with close technical collaboration.
Work Schedule : Core hours 8am-4:30pm, primarily in-office at our location near Downtown Dallas with remote flexibility up to 6 days per month as approved by manager.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsibilities Business Intelligence & Reporting:
Analyze monthly RVU data and create executive summaries on physician productivity
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards using established data models
Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from operations and executive teams
Reconcile data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy
Data Operations & Analysis:
Serve as first point of contact for data pipeline issues and ETL failures
Investigate data anomalies and dashboard discrepancies
Write SQL queries to extract, validate, and transform data
Analyze revenue trends and financial data to support operational decisions
Document missing data mappings and technical debt
Research new tools and approaches to enhance analytics capabilities
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes
Collaborate with in-house developer to test new applications
Prepare presentations for stakeholder discussions
What you need Experience & Skills:
3-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related field
Power BI proficiency - building dashboards, working with data models, creating DAX measures
SQL skills - comfortable writing SELECT queries, JOINs, and basic data transformations
Advanced Excel - pivot tables, complex formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot data issues independently
Clear communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Self-starter who works effectively with minimal supervision
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Nice to Have:
Healthcare or radiology industry experience
ETL/data pipeline knowledge
Experience with AI tools for workflow enhancement (ChatGPT, Claude)
Power Platform experience (Power Apps, Power Automate)
Education No degree required, but Business Analytics/Data Analytics, Information Systems/MIS, Finance/Accounting, or Business Administration degree preferred - we value practical experience and demonstrated skills.
