The Opportunity This is a remote opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. As a Medical Affairs Manager, you will synthesize and advance scientific and clinical knowledge within diabetes, focusing on internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do Medical Information Support

Manage and fulfill global medical information inquiries related to Abbott’s diabetes care portfolio.

Maintain the global medical information library, ensuring content is current, scientifically accurate and compliant.

Collaborate with regional teams for consistent messaging and localization of content templates.

Provide medical information staffing at congresses.

Support medical insight generation by integrating data from field medical and medical information platforms.

Assist in the creation of data visualizations and reports to guide strategy.

Support compliant record‑keeping processes for monitoring and auditing activities.

Medical Training Development & Coordination

Support the creation of global medical training materials for internal and external partners.

Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, distribution, and feedback collection.

Assist in onboarding and continuous education programs to ensure scientific fluency across the medical affairs organization.

Medical Asset Support

Contribute to the development, review, and approval of global medical assets such as slide decks, FAQs and scientific communication tools.

Ensure all materials comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with Regulatory, Legal, Commercial, and Clinical teams in the asset approval process.

Minimum Qualifications

Advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD, PhD, or other clinical degree).

Minimum 7 years of related work experience.

Strong understanding of medical information processes, scientific communication, and regulatory compliance.

Experience with diabetes care, glucose monitoring technologies, or digital health solutions is highly desirable.

Proficiency with medical content management, approval systems such as Veeva Vault, and IT and quality systems.

Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, matrixed environment.

Preferred

1‑3 years of experience in Medical Affairs or a related function within pharmaceuticals, biotech, or medical devices.

Familiarity with global medical information regulations and best practices.

Demonstrated passion for improving the lives of people with diabetes through innovative technology and education.

Additional Information The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary.
