Technical Project Manager - AVP Level
Location: Northampton (2 days per week on-site, flexible hybrid working). Type: Permanent. Salary: Up to £65,000 + 20% bonus + excellent benefits.

We're seeking a Technical Project Manager to take ownership of delivering complex, software‑driven change across a high‑profile payments technology portfolio. This role is all about execution – driving end‑to‑end project delivery, managing multiple workstreams, and ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, to scope, and with full stakeholder alignment.
What you’ll be doing
Leading the delivery of large‑scale software projects across the payments and digital domain.
Planning, forecasting, and managing resources, costs, and risks within approved scope.
Coordinating dependencies across business, operations, and technology teams.
Building strong stakeholder relationships, influencing senior leaders, and driving consensus.
Ensuring governance standards are met and projects close successfully with measurable outcomes.
What we’re looking for
Demonstrated track record delivering software and technology projects in a complex, matrixed environment.
Strong grasp of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to flex between them.
Full competency in project delivery, risk management, dependency management, and project governance.
Excellent people and communication skills – able to influence, challenge, and build relationships at all levels.
Experience in financial services or payments is highly desirable.
Professional certifications in project management (Agile, PMP, Prince2, etc.) are a plus.
