What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Lead the architecture and development of a high-throughput, real-time Eventing platform for enterprise customers
Design and build the next generation of serverless compute capabilities on the Samsara platform
Guide the evolution of the external API framework to ensure robustness and usability
Act as a technical leader, mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions
Collaborate with Product Management and enterprise customers to create a best-in-class developer experience
What is Required (Qualifications)
8+ years of experience in Software Engineering
Deep expertise in high-throughput data streaming systems using Kafka or similar technologies
Demonstrable experience with serverless compute architectures, such as AWS Lambda
Strong experience in designing and maintaining large-scale, public-facing APIs, preferably GraphQL
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with managed event streaming platforms (e.g., Amazon MSK, Azure Event Hubs)
Familiarity with cloud data warehousing solutions like Snowflake
