Save Job

Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!

E‑Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper‑scaled deployments of space‑powered Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are fundamentally changing the design, economics, manufacturing, coverage limitations and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.

By building a highly‑advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system—with a unique antenna design, highly sustainable spacecraft system and low‑cost, small portable end‑user devices—we can extend global satellite coverage, capacity and connectivity beyond legacy space services to provide a new kind of IoT platform that lets users sense, track, connect and act on information gathered, anywhere.

We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to saving space, protecting our planet and turning connectivity into actionable intelligence.

What is the role?

We are looking for a Ground Software Engineer to join our Mission Operations team, ensuring the successful launch and operations of our satellite constellation. The Ground Software Engineer works with the Space Operations team to build reliable command and telemetry interfaces, automation, and backend software to support on‑orbit satellite operations.

What you will be doing:

Build high‑performing command interfaces for mission‑critical operations

Build up telemetry analysis tools for quick spacecraft anomaly resolution and state of health assessment

Develop satellite operations tools and automation to perform a variety of on‑orbit and ground procedures

Build efficient and reliable backend software to manage command and telemetry pathways

Collaborate with the team to define ground software requirements and plan system architecture

What you bring to the role:

You have at least 5 years' full‑stack software experience using Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Express, Angular, NodeJS, SQL, etc.

You have experience developing large‑scale, highly available systems and you have experience with software standards

You have professional experience with DevOps tools (Git, Trac, Jenkins, Buildbot, etc.), CI/CD, and modern software practices in a cloud based environment

Bonus Points for the following:

You have a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

Strong intellectual curiosity and commitment to learning

Exceptional attention to detail and "extreme ownership"

We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in‑orbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow‑ed.
