We partner with the VA to design and deliver seamless user experiences for Veterans, their families and caregivers, and VA employees. By applying better practices in service design, product management, and technology, we enable the VA to increase the use, quality, and reliability of services and decrease the time Veterans spend waiting for outcomes. Primary Responsibilities:
Senior Principal DevOps Engineer - Cloud Engineer serves as an experienced subject matter expert, while serving as an individual contributor that provides strategic mentorship among the DevOps engineering discipline. A Senior Principal DevOps Engineer - Cloud Engineer exhibits full autonomy, with the ability to utilize influential skills to shape future work streams within the current customer base, while maintaining a strategic vision to successfully pursue new business opportunities. With limited oversight from leadership, you will serve as the champion of the DevOps engineering discipline, overseeing the integration of industry trends and adoption within programs, as well as the business unit. A Senior Principal DevOps Engineer - Cloud Engineer serves as a representative of the business unit, effectively communicating software engineering strategies to a diverse audience. Primary expectations of a Senior Principal DevOps Engineer - Cloud Engineer include: Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructures Lead cloud migration projects and continuously optimize resource usage Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operations Implement robust backup strategies and ensure business continutiy Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner Document processes and maintain comprehensive technical documentation Work closely with DevOps, security, and development teams to align cloud solutions with business goals Provision cloud resources and experience with automated configuration tools Extensive understanding of government and practice market conditions in order to drive organizational improvements and innovation Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or other related field, and 10+ years of experience 10+ years of experience in platform engineering or a related role Proficiency and certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams Adaptability to changing technologies and environments Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Company‑subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance Flexible PTO 401K with employer match Paid parental leave after one year of service Employee Assistance Program Ad Hoc LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
