Our goal is to create a workplace where all employees feel included, empowered, and enabled to perform at their best.**Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities*** Oversees Claims department operations, optimizing workflows and ensuring high productivity.* Develops and implements strategic plans for the Claims department to align with business goals and objectives.* Leads the strategic oversight of claims settlements to confirm coverage and determine liability, compensability, and damages.* Advises team members on claim file management including settlement and reserving strategies. Analyzes claims data to identify trends, assess performance, and provide regular reports to senior management.* Establishes reserves and provides insights or reports to Corporate Claims or senior management.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Job Requirements*** ### **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.* ### **Experience:** Generally, a minimum of 9 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling, including a minimum of 4 years leadership experience. Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation preferred, such as Associate in Claims (AIC).* ### **Scope of Job/Qualifications:** Typically manages 2 or more reports. Implements policies, procedures, and strategies under the direction of management. Leads and mentors Claims Representatives, ensuring they achieve excellence in their roles. Serves as a resource on insurance policy and claims handling procedures. Responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and service quality. Responsible for performance and coaching of staff and decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management. Ensures new members of the team receive proper training.**Company:**RICA Republic Indemnity Company of America**Salary Range:**$110,000.00 -$160,000.00**Benefits:**Compensation varies by role, position level, and location.
