Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Medical Device / Life Sciences We’re seeking a
Strategic Sourcing Specialist
to join a leading global medical device organization. In this role, you’ll play a key part in optimizing supplier performance, driving cost efficiencies, and supporting category management across a dynamic and regulated manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Analyze supplier performance, market trends, and cost structures to identify savings opportunities. Support supplier evaluation, selection, and contract negotiations to achieve best-in-class quality, cost, and service outcomes. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Finance, and Planning to align sourcing strategies with business goals. Conduct cost modeling and should-cost analyses to inform strategic decisions. Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to monitor performance and support continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and relevant regulatory standards (FDA, GMP, ISO 13485). Monitor supply chain risk and industry trends to proactively mitigate potential disruptions. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field. 4–6 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain analytics — ideally within the medical device or life sciences industry . Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills; Power BI and ERP (SAP preferred) experience a plus. Proven success in supplier negotiations and relationship management. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
