Job Description: The physician assistant or nurse practitioner will see patients in both the outpatient office and hospital settings. Monday‑Friday workday schedule with no on‑call responsibility.
Ideal Candidate: Board‑certified PA or NP with at least one year of experience in Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology. Required certifications include the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), a New York State PA or NP license, and federal DEA registration. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Job Requirements:
Experience working with hepatobiliary services
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
New York State Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
Federal DEA registration
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Internal Medicine or Gastroenterology experience preferred
Our practice is affiliated with Danbury Hospital, a Level II trauma center with 371 beds and roughly 70,000 ED visits per year. The employed medical group includes 1,000+ physicians and advanced practice providers serving a broad region throughout western Connecticut and eastern New York.
