As we grow, we’re looking for an HR Generalist who can help us scale with heart, integrity, and operational excellence.
Role Overview
The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting our studio teams and leadership by managing core HR functions including employee relations, compliance, onboarding, benefits administration, and policy implementation. You’ll be the go-to resource for day-to-day HR support and a champion of our people-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary HR contact for studio managers and employees across multiple locations
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and compliant experience
- Administer employee benefits, leave requests, and HRIS updates
- Support employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and recommending solutions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (multi-state experience a plus)
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs
- Partner with leadership on performance management and coaching conversations
- Maintain accurate employee records and support audits and reporting needs
- Collaborate with recruiting team to support hiring and workforce planning
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a multi-unit or franchise environment
- Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance standards
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Passion for fitness, wellness, and team development
- SHRM-CP, SCP or HRCI certification necessary
