Dental Assistant – Heartland Dental
Church Creek Dental Care, a Heartland Dental supported office located in Stanwood, WA, is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to provide high‑quality patient care in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
- Review patient health history to support quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
- Provide superior chairside assistance to dentists across procedures, following state dental practice act.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare the treatment room in strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
- Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems, maximizing office workflow.
Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
- Dental assistant certification and/or x‑ray certification, if required under state practice act.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Requires HIPAA training and PHI protection.
Preferred Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a dental setting.
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
- Dental assisting school certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
- Availability for virtual or in‑person training sessions throughout the year.
- Completion of a tuberculosis (TB) test required for all new hires in dental office positions.
