Dental Assistant – Heartland Dental

Church Creek Dental Care, a Heartland Dental supported office located in Stanwood, WA, is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to provide high‑quality patient care in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide superior chairside assistance to dentists across procedures, following state dental practice act.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare the treatment room in strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems, maximizing office workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x‑ray certification, if required under state practice act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Requires HIPAA training and PHI protection.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
• Dental assisting school certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
• Lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
• Availability for virtual or in‑person training sessions throughout the year.
• Completion of a tuberculosis (TB) test required for all new hires in dental office positions.
