We’re seeking a dynamic and analytical Production Planner to oversee both the planning and execution of production activities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic and hands-on environments—balancing material planning & resource allocation to drive efficiency and productivity across the production floor.

The ideal candidate will use data and forecasting to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, optimize workflow, and ensure that people, materials, and schedules align to meet company goals for quality, delivery, and cost.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.

· Forecast material and labor needs based on sales projections and capacity constraints.

· Coordinate with teams to ensure materials and components are available when needed.

· Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

· Review employee timesheets daily to ensure proper completion and accuracy.

· Obtain projected labor hours from project leaders to support accurate scheduling.

· Enter hours and assigned resources into ERP software schedule task plan and maintain up-to-date project schedules.

· Monitor task completions against schedule plans and proactively alert leads of projected delays or risks to timelines.

· Assign team members to tasks as directed by leadership; adjust assignments of flexible resources as needed for efficiency.

· Balance workloads and manage staffing to meet fluctuating production demands.

· Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and accountability.

· Use data analytics to identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

· Collaborate cross-functionally to improve scheduling accuracy, workflow efficiency, and on-time delivery performance.

· Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing or other process improvement initiatives.

· Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to throughput, downtime, and resource utilization.

Qualifications

· 3–5 years of experience in production planning, supervision, or manufacturing operations.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and production analytics tools.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

· Knowledge of other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Success in This Role Looks Like:

· Smooth production flow with minimal downtime or material shortages.

· Improved forecasting accuracy and proactive problem-solving.

· Clear, data-driven decision-making that supports operational excellence.
