Electrical Calibration Technician
Location:
Cypress, Onsite
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Optional Overtime)
Salary:
$30-50 per hour, depending on experience (DPE)
Company Overview Founded in 1978, Micro Quality Calibration (MQC) is one of the largest privately owned metrology labs on the West Coast, serving aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, and other precision-driven industries. Operating in a new 21,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility, MQC is trusted by thousands of companies nationwide. Calibration is performed to NIST traceable standards, A2LA accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL, and known for our quality and speed, with a 5‑business‑day turnaround.
Position Overview We are looking for experienced Calibration Technicians specializing in Electrical Calibration. You'll ensure the accuracy and reliability of clients' measurement instruments, requiring precision, organization, and communication.
Responsibilities
Calibrate instruments (Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Hipot Tester, Accelerometers, etc.)
Calibrate RF instruments (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Frequency Counters, etc.)
Calibrate standards and generate reports
Inspect equipment and collaborate with engineers
Provide technical guidance during audits
Maintain safety and troubleshoot equipment
Requirements and Skills
Must have proven Calibration experience
Must be able to travel to our Chatsworth location
Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training and familiarity with ISO 17025 standards
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to meet deadlines effectively
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for potential onsite customer visits
Valid driver’s license, clean record, and U.S. or permanent required
