About the Role Responsible for assisting lenders and mortgage leaders in a variety of capacities to achieve department goals. Assists with daily production and management of the assigned loan pipeline.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage assigned loan pipeline and provide quality control which includes but not limited to: completing client applications, processing loan denials, determining pre-qualification standards, completing disclosures, writing loan narratives, locking interest rates, and preparing in-house loans for management approval.
Provide timely and professional written and verbal communication internal and external stakeholders.
Responsible for operational excellence and regulatory compliance, ensuring residential lending portfolio is compliant with regulatory requirements.
Provide daily support to ensure timelines are met, service standards are exceeded, workload priorities are established, and problems/exceptions are resolved in a timely manner.
Schedule appointments and prioritize sensitive matters for lender or leadership calendar.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records including but not limited to minor accounting expense reports, monetary and ordering inventory, meeting materials, and reports and data analysis.
Skills and Qualifications
Attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and manage simultaneous high‑priority projects and tasks while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, customers, investors, and management.
Ability to take initiative and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Willingness to quickly adapt to changing regulations, investor overlays, work as a team and become proficient quickly.
Ability to work independently, handle stress, exercise self‑control, adhere to company policies, and procedures.
Ability to build rapport and trust quickly with various stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of mortgage experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of mortgage lending processes and regulatory requirements required.
