Construction Project Coordinator Commercial General Contractor | Full-Time | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
We are a well-established and growing Commercial General Contractor seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Construction Project Coordinator to join our team.
Position Overview As a Construction Project Coordinator, you will provide comprehensive administrative and project support to multiple Project Coordinators and/or Project Managers. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and an interest in the construction industry. While experience in commercial construction is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Provide full administrative support for multiple Project Managers and Coordinators, including preparing and tracking:
Transmittals, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders.
Assist with contract administration and documentation, such as:
Certificates of insurance, preliminary notices, and project close-out documents.
Draft, proofread, and distribute correspondence, memos, reports, project plans, and emails.
Handle outgoing mail and overnight shipping logistics.
Maintain well-organized digital and hard copy project files.
Manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
Follow up and coordinate project-related tasks with limited supervision.
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
Basic understanding of construction terms and documents (willing to train).
Familiarity with reading construction drawings is a plus.
Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Experience with MS Project is a plus but not required.
