Clinical Psychologist Resident
to join our behavioral health team. This residency program offers a dynamic and comprehensive training opportunity in clinical psychology, with a focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across a diverse array of psychological needs. The Clinical Psychologist Resident will receive supervision and mentorship from licensed psychologists and other mental health professionals while gaining hands-on experience in psychological assessment, intervention, and research. This residency program will support the development of professional competency and enhance the clinical expertise of the resident, with the ultimate goal of transitioning into a licensed clinical psychologist role. Key Responsibilities Psychological Assessments: Conduct clinical assessments, including psychological testing and diagnostic evaluations, for patients of all ages (adults, children, and adolescents). Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy). Collaborative Care: Work in multidisciplinary teams with psychiatrists, social workers, and medical providers to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans. Supervision & Mentorship: Participate in regular supervision with licensed clinical psychologists to enhance professional growth and competency. Research & Program Development: Engage in clinical research, contribute to program development, and support evidence-based practices in the field of clinical psychology. Crisis Intervention: Provide psychological support during crisis situations, including but not limited to suicidal ideation, trauma, and severe psychological distress. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Required Qualifications Education: Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution. Experience: Completion of an APA-accredited internship or equivalent training program in clinical psychology. Licensing: Eligible for licensure as a psychologist in the state of Georgia (or in the process of obtaining licensure). Skills: Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Experience with a wide range of psychological interventions. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of mental health laws and ethical standards. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting. Specialized training or interest in child and adolescent psychology, neuropsychology, or trauma-focused therapy. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
