Job Summary Performs a variety of routine and special diagnostic procedures on clinical specimens for diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Performs high‑complexity testing, validates and reports results, documents quality control, and maintains instrument and equipment. Maintains adequate stock of reagents and supplies and participates in continuing education.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in Medical Technology or related science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or completion of a Medical Technology training program
Associate Degree in Medical Technology / Clinical Laboratory Science or related science with ASCP Certification as Medical Technologist MT(ASCP)
Equipment operated: PC, printers, scanners
Special Requirements
Above average verbal communication skills (heavy public contact)
Writing / composing (correspondence, reports)
Other Skills
Analytical, CRT, medical terms, research, statistical, P.C., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access
Advance training / specialty: Certification by approved certification agencies, i.e., ASCP, NCA, AMT preferred
Other Requirements Travel between HCHD facilities.
