The Manufacturing Engineering Technician Supervisor manages the daily tasks that the manufacturing engineering technicians perform. The tasks primarily focus on design for manufacturability and print reviews after new projects are released to production. ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)

Manage workload and staffing requirements Hold accountability to the design schedule Review design renderings/prints and provide design for manufacturability feedback Ensure shop prints are detailed properly Standardize manufacturing shop prints Enhance and develop internal department process workflows working with designers and production Work with internal personnel to resolve production issues Support lean initiatives for process improvement Develop standard work Generate flat prints from models for machine specific requirements Strives to understand a high level of all functional areas of manufacturing processes and actively brings forth ideas for process improvement according to company objectives. Interact with teams of design engineers, operations, and project managers, to secure deadlines Assist in processing engineering change notices to the manufacturing floor All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering or related field experience Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and production data management systems (PDM vault) Familiar with fabrication nesting processes, methods, and programming Sheet metal fabricating, welding, powder paint finishing, and assembly experience Understanding of material flow methods (push/pull systems) Lean or six sigma training, experience or certification a plus Critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve problems Knowledge and use of computers and Microsoft Office software Design for manufacturability exposure LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
