Kinsley Steel is currently seeking a talented and experienced Steel Erection Superintendent to join our growing team. As a Construction Superintendent, you will have the unique opportunity to oversee and manage on‑site construction projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Safety is our top priority, and you will be responsible for ensuring that all safety precautions are followed on‑site.
A key aspect of your role will be to hold weekly site safety meetings, promote a culture of safety among the team, coordinate weekly look‑ahead schedules to anticipate potential issues or delays, and attend on‑site project meetings focusing on safety, quality, scheduling, and production.
Responsibilities
Read specifications and blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials needed for the project.
Coordinate with other trades and schedule material deliveries to the job site.
Address non‑conformances, issuing corrective actions as needed.
Troubleshoot on‑site issues, submit Requests for Information (RFIs), and complete as‑built drawings.
Qualifications
Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment.
Experience operating equipment such as transit, laser level, and torpedo levels.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to convey information, delegate tasks, and address concerns.
Solid understanding of commercial construction and steel erection required.
