Broadridge is looking for a motivated

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – Quality Assurance Specialist (Automation)

to support testing initiatives across multiple projects. You’ll work collaboratively to ensure high‑quality software delivery in a dynamic and supportive environment that values learning, teamwork, and innovation.

Work Mode: We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be coming into the Newark, NJ or EDGEWOOD, Long Island office 2 days a week and given the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.

Key Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Work as part of a collaborative Development and QA team to ensure high-quality software delivery across multiple products.

Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks and scripts that enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

Create and manage test data sets for functional and regression testing.

Participate in early-stage project discussions to help define test strategy, planning, and scope.

Develop and maintain detailed test plans, cases, and documentation to support ongoing QA efforts.

Collaborate closely with Product and Development teams to identify, document, and help resolve defects.

Support vendor-related QA activities, including data validation, issue tracking, and communication of results.

Ensure all QA activities comply with Broadridge standards and best practices for software quality.

Coordinate testing efforts to align with project timelines and deliverables.

Take on additional QA or testing initiatives as needed to support team goals and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Academic or professional experience with object-oriented programming (Java, C#, Python, or similar).

Familiarity with Rest Assured API Framework is a plus.

Familiarity with test automation concepts or tools such as Selenium or Cucumber.

Experience with databases such as SQL for working with test data.

Experience with version control systems such as GIT, Issue Tracking software such as JIRA is a plus.

Interest in software quality, automation, and Agile development.

A curious mindset, willingness to learn, and strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.

Salary Range: 90,000.00 – 95,000.00 USD annual
