Overview Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking a
Senior Product Owner
to join the
Pharmacy Product Led
model team. You will manage one of three pharmacy benefit products and be responsible for defining the product vision and managing the product delivery process. You will partner with product management and stakeholders to translate product strategy into a detailed product vision.
Your Responsibilities
Serve as the voice of the product and act as the liaison between the business and Scrum Teams; translate features into user stories and manage, rank, and prioritize the backlog to reflect stakeholder requirements and priorities.
Final signoff and acceptance responsibility for user stories, features, and backlog items.
Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to discover and deliver solutions to market problems presented by the product management (business).
Work with the business to understand and coordinate ranking and prioritization of business needs and plan solutions to ensure each release provides business value to end users, sales, and marketing.
Manage the solution concept development process to ensure the product team understands direction and vision.
Create and maintain backlog ownership through the product life cycle; use best practices to create user stories/backlog items and acceptance criteria.
Contribute to business cases and translate them into product backlog stories/items.
Serve as the Product Management (business) proxy and decision point to represent stakeholders.
Review and accept/reject results during a Sprint and in the Sprint review; attend sprint ceremonies and be available to the team for clarifications and acceptance of user stories.
Capture and prioritize issues or incidents for the team backlog; present work to the team from the Team Backlog during Sprint Planning and negotiate Sprint goals.
Encourage innovation and experimentation to drive team engagement; mentor/coach other Product Owners.
Generally, accountable for enterprise product(s), including number of products, product size, revenue impacts, and/or complexity.
Required Skills and Experience
5+ years of Product Ownership and/or Product Management experience (all relevant experience considered).
Experience with writing user stories and implementing Agile methodologies; experience developing short-term and long-term roadmaps.
Ability to lead user story mapping, journey mapping, and stakeholder canvas exercises; demonstrated presentation skills with leadership and key stakeholders.
Experience conducting current state vs future state mapping and delivering identified product gaps; exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience interacting confidently with key stakeholders as a subject matter expert; strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills; experience with program management and process improvement is preferred.
Experience as an Agile/JIRA product owner; high school diploma (or equivalent) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field.
Experience in managed care/healthcare insurance; pharmacy product experience is a plus.
Certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PM/PO, or LeSS are a plus.
Compensation and Benefits Pay Range:
$100,000.00 – $135,000.00 – $170,000.00 annual
Pay is based on factors including skills and knowledge brought to the role.
