Pay:
$100,000 – $125,000 (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Electrical Project Engineer
to join our team for a large-scale hospital renovation and construction project in Yuma, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, coordination, and project execution within healthcare facilities. This role requires a proactive professional capable of managing multiple project phases, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with all codes and hospital standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the electrical engineering design and coordination for hospital infrastructure projects.
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with project goals and client standards.
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and low-voltage systems.
Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, and facility managers to resolve design and field issues.
Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and healthcare-specific regulations.
Support project budgeting, scheduling, and procurement of electrical materials and equipment.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify quality and safety standards.
Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement of project engineering processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
8+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in healthcare or hospital projects.
PE license (or ability to obtain).
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and healthcare codes.
Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Additional Details:
Candidates must live near Yuma, AZ or be willing to relocate for the duration of the project.
