Structural Engineer – P.E. (Atlanta, GA) Overview We are seeking a
licensed Structural Engineer (P.E.)
with experience in the design and management of complex building projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, innovative structural solutions for clients across a wide range of sectors, including
Civic & Cultural, Commercial, Education, Entertainment, Healthcare, and Hospitality .
This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines on both new construction and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead structural design and analysis for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood-framed buildings.
Prepare, review, and stamp structural drawings, calculations, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Coordinate closely with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
Conduct site visits, field inspections, and condition assessments to evaluate structural performance and support construction administration.
Mentor and review the work of junior engineers and CAD/Revit designers.
Participate in proposal preparation, estimation, and project planning.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
Stay current on industry codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, TMS) and sustainable design practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
required (Georgia or ability to obtain through comity).
5+ years of experience
in structural design for building projects.
Candidate must have previous experience in the structural design of wood, masonry, steel, and concrete structures.
Proficiency in
Revit, AutoCAD, RISA, ETABS, RAM Structural System , or similar design software.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
