The American College of Cardiology has recognized UF Health Leesburg Hospital for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain by awarding a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primacy PCI and Resuscitation — its highest and best level of accreditation. The hospital also offers world‑class orthopedics, minimally invasive robotic surgery, life‑saving emergency care, stroke treatment, labor & delivery, and so much more.
There are three Cath Labs at UF Health’s Leesburg Hospital and one Electrophysiology Lab. We are searching for a CVT Charge who is passionate about elevating their clinical skillset and who truly values the professional experience they will acquire while working, as there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff. This is a close‑knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated with state‑of‑the‑art Cath Lab technology and medical devices. The Director is a servant‑leader with 31 years of UF Health Leesburg experience and is dedicated to the success of her team and the people of her community.
The Cath Lab CVT Charge, under the direction of the director/manager, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.
This is a Full Time, Day Shift position, eligible for a sign‑on bonus.
On call is approximately one night per week and one weekend per month.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
In lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years experience
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Has BLS and ACLS certification
Must hold RCIS or RCES as required
