Join Our Team as a Sales Executive - Hybrid Sales. You will play a pivotal role in driving growth and building strong relationships within your assigned territory, supporting the District Director (DD) with key accounts, new business development, and innovative solutions to deliver value to customers. Responsibilities
Territory Management: retain customers, ensure contract compliance, and implement solutions to meet their unique needs. Business Development: prospect and cultivate new opportunities within the independent retail business segment. Delivering Excellence: provide an exceptional customer experience and serve as a trusted resource by expanding knowledge and expertise. Leverages Hybrid Selling: combine in-person and virtual selling to connect with customers and tailor territory management and interactions for greater flexibility and effectiveness. Team-Based Selling: collaborate with cross-functional teams (Good Neighbor Pharmacy, Buying Group, customer service, finance) to align strategies and achieve sales goals; coordinate with account management coordinators to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction. Proficient use of computer and technology tools to enhance customer experience and sales processes; utilize digital tools and social media to promote offerings; stay updated with technology trends to improve sales strategies. Meet or exceed sales targets related to revenue, profit, and margin growth with existing primary and secondary customers in the assigned territory. Sell a range of Cencora offerings (e.g., SMT Access, Good Neighbor Pharmacy, Business Coaching, PRxO Generics, Elevate Provider Network) and ensure ongoing contract compliance, reinforcing the value of Prime Vendor Agreements (PVA). Prospect and develop new business leads within the territory in collaboration with the Business Development team; close smaller deals not assigned to the Business Development team. Travel extensively (including overnight and weekend travel) within the assigned customer base and geography for events and meetings. Lead onboarding and implementation of customer solutions by collaborating with functional departments to ensure a smooth and excellent customer experience and full adoption of solutions. Coordinate with internal departments to maintain ongoing contract compliance and value realization; address non-compliance proactively. Engage additional service and sales channels (Customer Service, Inside Sales) to address day-to-day issues while maintaining a cohesive company image. Maintain knowledge of customer invoicing, payment terms, collections, and payment history to assist Accounts Receivable as needed; work with Account Management Coordinators to resolve issues promptly. Ensure proper Cencora branding and signage in partner locations and awareness of customer educational opportunities (e.g., certifications, CE programs). Collaborate across functions with subject matter experts to execute sales expansion and maintenance strategies using Cencora’s offerings. Account and territory planning; participate in annual strategic planning with the District Director; use sales reporting tools to identify growth opportunities. Develop and maintain an efficient daily territory call plan with a regular call cycle and discretionary calls as needed. Input and maintain account activity in sales management tools; pursue professional development and ongoing learning in alignment with company goals. Qualifications
Demonstrated history of successful consultative selling leading to improved customer outcomes; broad training in business, administration, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or related fields; four-year degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years of relevant sales experience; experience in pharmaceutical, retail, or alternate care segments is desirable. Willingness and ability to analyze market trends, teach customers, discuss financials, negotiate deals, and continually develop selling skills. Understanding of retail and alternate care industries, trends, and challenges. Strong written and verbal communication; ability to adapt style to different audiences; active listening and influencing skills. Advanced financial understanding related to maximizing sales profit (e.g., P&L concepts, value). Excellent customer service skills to address issues without compromising selling conversations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to change.
