About the role BSI Consulting Services is growing—and we’re looking for a strategic consulting leader to drive that growth. As the

Southwest Regional Consulting Director , you’ll lead a dynamic team of EHS consultants serving diverse industries across the Southwest U.S., shaping our client engagement strategy, expanding market presence, and ensuring delivery excellence.

This role goes beyond managing internal operations—it’s about

building client relationships, developing business opportunities, and empowering consulting teams

to deliver measurable impact. Reporting to the SVP, EHS Consulting Services, you’ll work in a hybrid capacity with regular regional, national, and occasional international travel.

This is a

senior consulting leadership position

where you will directly influence BSI’s national strategy. You’ll collaborate with other Regional Directors and practice leaders to align service offerings, drive growth initiatives, and deliver consistent, high-value client experiences across the U.S.

Responsibilities

Lead regional business performance

—develop and execute strategic growth plans for consulting services across key markets and industries.

Drive client success

—act as a senior account leader and trusted advisor to major clients, ensuring solutions meet both regulatory and business needs.

Grow the business

—identify, pursue, and secure new opportunities, leveraging relationships and industry insights to expand BSI’s footprint.

Develop high-performing teams

—recruit, mentor, and inspire consultants to deliver exceptional results, emphasizing technical excellence and client partnership.

Ensure operational excellence

—oversee P&L, project delivery quality, and resource allocation to achieve regional performance targets.

Collaborate nationally

—partner with other Regional Directors to align on strategic initiatives, share best practices, and drive consistency across service lines.

Champion innovation

—foster continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and adoption of emerging technologies in consulting delivery.

To be successful in the role, you will have

15+ years of progressive leadership experience within EHS consulting, professional services, or advisory firms (required).

Demonstrated success in consulting operations management—including sales growth, client relationship management, and delivery oversight.

Proven track record leading regional or multi-site consulting teams and achieving measurable business outcomes.

Strong business development and client management acumen, with ability to translate technical expertise into strategic value.

Exceptional leadership, emotional intelligence, and communication skills suited for client and executive interaction.

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety, Engineering, Science, or related discipline.

Advanced degree (MBA, MS) and experience in a matrixed or global consulting organization (preferred).

Exposure to data analytics, digital transformation, or AI-enabled EHS solutions (preferred).

Benefits and compensation

— The salary for this position can range from $142,000 - 215,000 USD annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
