EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - INDEPENDENT LIVING - FAIRFIELD GLADE
Liberty Health is seeking an experienced Executive Director for Independent Living in Fairfield Glade.
Job Summary EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
for the Independent Living community, responsible for maintaining, directing, coordinating, and supervising all activities of the Community. Provides leadership in innovation and programming to deliver excellent services and engagement for residents.
Responsibilities
Maintains, directs, coordinates, and supervises all activities of the Community.
Provides leadership in innovation and creativity for culinary services, programming, and resident engagement.
Establishes and maintains personnel policies and department policies and procedures; ensures staff carry out policies and procedures.
Interprets the Community’s philosophy; communicates policies to staff, residents, visitors; monitors residents’ ability to live independently; holds regular meetings with residents and family when changes occur.
Reviews policies and procedures for compliance with federal, state, and local standards; ensures staff adherence.
Maintains knowledge of residents’ circumstances and independence; supports transitions to higher levels of care when appropriate.
Prepares and updates job descriptions; participates in in-service training for staff; interviews and selects personnel.
Meets with Department Directors regularly to discuss issues and solutions; assesses workforce competence; supports community resources and partnerships.
Manages budget, financial status, and operating costs; maintains financial policies and efficient accounting systems.
Represents the Community to the public and external agencies; maintains public relations and coordinates services through agreements.
Ensures compliance with laws pertaining to Community operations; maintains confidentiality policies.
Oversees facility operations, maintenance, and safety of buildings and grounds; reviews environmental standards.
Performs other duties as assigned by Liberty Senior Living management.
Job Requirements
Must be a high school graduate.
Must have completed at least 2 years of college or have at least 4 years of supervisory experience in a service community.
Must be 21 years of age or older and of good moral character.
Ability to plan, organize, and follow up on work assignments; strong personnel and financial management skills.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing community operations.
Ability to interpret financial statements and prepare monthly reports for management.
Ability to promote public relations and interact with residents, families, staff, and community leaders.
