Monday through Friday Day Shift Hours

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

40 hours / week

Responsibilities

Provides professional duties involved with a variety of technical procedures prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist for the safe delivery of radiation therapy treatments and care to patients.

Possesses core knowledge of required Radiation Therapist functions, including scheduling, simulation, patient set‑up, and treatment.

Demonstrates a functional knowledge of all major components of department equipment.

Delivers external beam treatments in an accurate and timely fashion with a high degree of accuracy.

Assess and addresses patient's needs while under treatment.

Practices appropriate Radiation Safety procedures.

Accurate and timely completion of patient charts according to established standards and procedures.

Demonstrates knowledge of standard and advanced treatment calculations and treatment plans.

Designs and fabricates blocks accurately and efficiently.

Performs Simulation with a high degree of accuracy in a timely fashion with little or no supervision.

Utilizes appropriate scripting, barriers, and patient identifiers as required per position.

Education and Experience

Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program

Experience as a radiation therapist preferred

Certification/Licensure

ARRT registration in radiation therapy required (or eligible upon hire and attain within one year)

Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days
