Radiology Technologist (CT X-ray Tech) We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist (CT X-ray Tech) to operate our CT scanning equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images. The ideal candidate will be responsible for patient positioning, equipment maintenance, and ensuring strict adherence to hygiene and infection control protocols. The Radiology Tech will also monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions to contrast agents.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CT equipment to obtain detailed images of internal organs and tissues.
Accurately position patients for targeted scans.
Perform regular warm‑up procedures on the CT scanner to prolong X‑ray tube lifespan.
Sterilize and maintain radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety.
Follow physicians’ written scanning instructions precisely.
Administer radiocontrast agents as necessary to enhance imaging.
Evaluate CT images for quality and report any inconsistencies.
Effectively communicate procedures to patients, providing reassurance and ensuring comfort.
Monitor patients for allergic reactions or complications during procedures and respond appropriately.
Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report shortages.
Qualifications & Requirements
Preferred: One year of experience in each modality.
Preferred: One year of experience in an emergency room (ER) hospital setting.
Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited two‑year college or technical school, with related experience.
Certifications: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) and BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association.
Multi‑modality Technologists: Certification in two or more modalities (Radiology/X‑ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI) or completion of relevant cross‑training.
Awareness of potential exposure to body fluids and infectious diseases.
Skills & Personal Qualities
Strong technical skills in operating CT and related imaging equipment.
Excellent communication skills for patient and staff interactions.
Compassionate, patient‑centered approach.
Commitment to staying current with advancements in radiologic technology and protocols.
Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities for image evaluation and quality assurance.
